4XR Rescue Craft – the Tool for the Job
The rescue "4XR" has been designed for the Fire and Rescue Services, the 4XR will enable personnel to carry out a rescue in, estuaries, rivers, lakes, floodwaters, ice, mud or slurry.
It is intended to remain fully operational either way up i.e. even if capsized. This is achieved through the design, the construction being a mirror image of itself top and bottom and end for end. The double-ended construction making propulsion of the raft/craft easily achievable in either direction.
Propulsion and deployment can be achieved through paddles, oars, engine, towing or belayed ropes.
Applications
The 4XR can be launched from the shore, surface vessels, or aircraft (it can have pressure inflation). Once launched it is operational irrespective of its attitude to the supporting surface. It is not necessary to right a capsize in order to continue functioning. When packed into the valise it can be stowed in a fire appliance or most other types of logistics support vehicle. It can be carried on most rigid vessels and is also suitable for transportation by aircraft.
Different size options are possible depending on capacity required and environment of operations. Designed and made of the highest quality materials.
